What I collect, and why

Plainly: I collect only what you choose to send me, I use it only to reply to you, and I never sell it or share it for advertising.

What you send me

The written form. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message.

The voice message. Your name, email address, and the audio recording itself. Recording only begins when you press the button, nothing is captured before that, and nothing is sent until you press send. If you record something and change your mind, choose “Record again” or simply leave the page — that audio is never transmitted.

Booking a call. Scheduling runs through Calendly, which collects your name, email, and the time you choose, under Calendly’s privacy policy.

The newsletter. Subscribing to Resilience Loves takes you to Substack, which holds subscriber emails under Substack’s privacy policy. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and it works.

Where it goes

Form submissions and voice recordings are delivered to Netlify, the service that hosts this website, and are forwarded to me at lorca@lorcasmetana.com. I read them. No one else does.

I keep what you send for as long as our conversation is a living one, and remove it when it isn’t. Ask me to delete something and I will — see below.

What this site doesn’t do

No analytics. No advertising or tracking pixels. No third-party cookies set by me, which is why you aren’t greeted by a consent banner. Fonts are served from this site rather than from an outside company, so loading a page tells no one anything about you.

Two pages embed video or scheduling from YouTube and Calendly. Those embeds can see your IP address and may set their own cookies, as embedded media generally does. If that matters to you, the TEDx talk is also on TED’s own site, and you can always reach me by phone or email instead.

I don’t sell personal information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Your say

Write to lorca@lorcasmetana.com and ask for a copy of what I hold, a correction, or its deletion — including any voice recording — and I’ll take care of it. You don’t need to give a reason.

Changes

If this ever changes — if I add analytics, say, or a payment step — I’ll update this page and the date below before it takes effect.
