“I always will, because a web is stronger than a wheel, and people (along with ecosystems and populations and human cells) that are forced into isolation will always behave in disfunction. So claiming family adds strength, adds resilience, adds life. Being family, dearheart, is at its essence purely a way of being with and for someone. Real family has your back, loves you regardless, accepts you as the author of your own life. And you have them back. Using this definition, you may now have a larger family than you were thinking. Or perhaps a smaller one. But it is the definition to claim and persistently invite moving forward for your sake and to add health into the world. Build into the family you would love to be. Ask who is alone. There will never not be people who need to love, and to be loved.”
Love,
